Glans Sensitivity and Ejaculation Management

How to understand high glans sensitivity: when it is part of the problem, when it is a symptom of an overheated Bank, and why anesthetics are a poor solution.

Updated:

High glans sensitivity is often the first thing a man with PE notices. It seems logical: lower sensitivity and everything will improve. That is exactly why lidocaine creams and prolonging sprays are so popular. But for most men with PE, the main accelerator is not sensitivity itself. It is the inner state: Bank temperature, clenching, anxiety, pace. Anesthetics reduce sensitivity, but they also reduce contact, presence, and pleasure. For the partner that can mean numb mucosa and dulled sensation. For the man it often means weaker erection. Sex without sensation is not management. It is chemical numbing.

Четыре столпа Метода Журова: осознанность, дыхание, расслабление и управление
Метод держится на четырёх столпах: сначала мужчина замечает процесс, потом учится дышать, расслаблять тело и управлять возбуждением до ПОНР.

In short

  • High sensitivity is one factor, but rarely the only cause of PE.
  • Lidocaine and benzocaine products lower sensitivity for both partners, kill intimacy, and often contribute to erection loss.
  • Two key questions are different: how strong the touch is, and how hot the inner state is.
  • When the Bank is overheated, even gentle touch can feel unbearable. You need to lower temperature, not erase sensitivity.
  • Management skill through the Bank Model works where anesthetics do not: it removes accelerators from the inside, not from the outside.

Why anesthetics are not management

Lidocaine sprays and benzocaine creams are sold as "prolongers" and "for men." The logic sounds simple: less sensitivity means more time before PONR. In theory. In practice there are several problems.

First, the anesthetic transfers onto your partner's mucosa during contact. She loses sensitivity too. Intimacy becomes chemically dulled for both people. That is not sex. It is a demonstration of endurance.

Second, lowering sensitivity while anxiety and clenching stay in place often leads to weaker erection. The body loses feedback and no longer gets enough stimulation to maintain firmness. The man solved one problem and created another.

Third, the anesthetic does not teach the body anything. Remove the cream and the pattern is still there.

Sensitivity versus Bank temperature

Here is a crucial distinction many people miss: how strong the physical touch is, and how hot the inner state of the Bank is. Those are not the same thing.

A man can have average physical sensitivity and still be burning inside because of anxiety, clenching, and pace. Then even gentle touch feels unbearably sharp, not because sensitivity is extreme but because the Bank is overheated.

And the reverse is also true: a man with genuinely high physiological sensitivity can still manage ejaculation by working with temperature, lowering anxiety, opening the leak, and slowing down. Then the same touch stops feeling impossible.

The question "how hot is it inside?" matters more than "how strong is it outside?"

When sensitivity really is part of the problem

Some men do have physiologically high sensitivity of the nerve endings in the glans. That is a real factor, especially in men whose foreskin usually kept the glans covered in daily life. In that case gradual exposure, such as non-sexual exposure and specific exercises, may lower hypersensitivity. That is a medical topic worth discussing with a urologist.

But even if sensitivity is high, it does not mean nothing can be done without anesthetic. Work with breathing and relaxation lowers the inner temperature, and then high sensitivity becomes manageable instead of overwhelming.

If you have acute physical pain, inflammation, or other medical symptoms, start with a urologist. That is a normal adult step, and you can train attention management and relaxation in parallel.

How to train management with high sensitivity

The first step is to separate two variables in OM: the intensity of touch and the intensity of your inner state. Try this: gentle touch with high anxiety, then stronger touch with a relaxed body. Feel the difference. That develops discrimination.

The second step is to lower the Bank's temperature before you even start: belly breathing, relaxation in the pelvis, a slow beginning. Enter the practice cool rather than already hot. With a lower baseline temperature, even high sensitivity does not send you straight to PONR.

The third step is to work with an earlier pause. At the first warning sign of PONR, not at the edge but 20 to 30 seconds before it, exhale, relax the three zones, and lower the intensity. That builds management skill at any level of sensitivity.

First step for 7 days

  • In your next OM practice, separate two questions: how strong the touch is, and how hot the inner state is. They are different things. Write down what you notice.
  • Try entering practice after 3 minutes of belly breathing before any stimulation. Compare how the same touch feels when baseline temperature is lower.
  • If you currently use an anesthetic, try one practice without it. Notice what is actually stronger: raw sensitivity or the temperature of your inner state.
  • Write down the main question: what speeds things up more, the type of stimulation or the inner state of anxiety, clenching, and pace?

Common questions

Is lidocaine spray safe?

For the man himself, it is relatively safe for short-term use. But it transfers to the partner's mucosa and can numb her as well. Also, reduced sensitivity with anxiety and clenching still present often leads to erection loss. That makes it a poor solution.

Does circumcision reduce sensitivity and help with PE?

There is no clinical evidence that circumcision reliably reduces PE. Sensitivity may change, but the main accelerators, anxiety, clenching, and pace, remain. It is not a well-founded way of working with PE.

Can sensitivity be reduced without chemicals?

Gradual non-sexual exposure of the glans in everyday life is sometimes used for hypersensitivity and can be discussed with a urologist. But the faster and safer lever for most men is lowering the inner temperature of the Bank.

Is this a medical treatment?
